Ganzak, officially the The Glorious People’s Republic of Ganzak is a country in west Ochran. It constitutes a of the Ozeros coast and is bordered by Halys to the west along the XX River, Dzhuvestan to the north, Asazeh to the east, and the Oceros Sea to the south. It also holds the major Ozeros island of Akalamos under its sway as a semi autonomous province. The capital is the city of Kansmar and the largest city is Epirus located on the Magan Peninsula in the International Trade Zone.

Archeology indidcates that the area known as Ganzak was inhabited many years prior to any cohesive nation forming. The earliest known settlements were Perateian city-states that dominated the area from the 1000 BCs onward. From 200 BC onward, the area was a part of the Perateian Empire <<<other events need to happen here>>. In 1942, under the influence of Wenerist thinkers, provisional governer Baybar Akbari lead a revolt against the <<whoever>> and staretd the years long civil war that would be known as the Great Revolution. Despite significant pushback, the capital of Kansmar was captured from <<whoever>> in 1950 and the Great Constitution of the Worker's Republic was ratified by all of the major revolutionary generals, designating Baybar Akbari as eternal leader and hero of the revolution.

Ganzak, according to its consititution, is an independent socialist state that holds regular elections, though independent observers have called these sham elections. In practice, the nation is a totalitarian dictatorship with a cult of personality around the Akbari Family. The sole legal political entity is the Inqabist based philosophy known as Akbarism. According to the constitution,, the means of production are owned by the state through state-run enterprises and collectivized farms. Most services – such as healthcare, education, housing, and food production – are subsidized or state-funded.

Ganzak previously followed a military-first policy, part of Akbarism, which prioritizes the military's access to resources over civilian industries. This was revised in the Constitutional Convention of 2006 of the Great Republic, where newly ascended leader Bahar Akbari added several key national industries as priorities to combat the Famine of 2006. Significant numbers of the country's 1.4 million active duty personnel were also placed in other key industries. Significant assistance from Sante Reze and Phansi Uhlanga has assisted the country in modernizing significantly outdated industries.

Government

Supreme Central Committee of the Worker's Republic

Supreme Central Committee of the Worker's Republic of Ganzak, often just called the Central Committee, is considered the primary executive power in the nation according to the constitution. Though in practice, it is an uncontested dictatorship with power centralized behind the First Proletariat who instructs the ministers on how to govern. The office of the First Proletariat sits at the head of the Central Committee of the Supreme Worker’s Republic, which is comprised of fourteen members. Eleven members are appointed heads of government ministries and take direction from the First Proletariat, who is known as the “steward of the worker’s revolution", and the other three members are the Commitee-Chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Party Chairman of the Worker's Party of Ganzak.

There are twelve ministries under the Central Committee; the Ministry of the Interior, Ministry of Finance and Banking, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Culture, Office for the Preservation of the Revolution (OPR), Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Ministry of Technology and Statistics, Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Within these larger apparatuses, there are sub offices each with their own appointed party members that oversee sections of the ministry. The First Proletariat can issue "recommendations" to the ministries, who are claimed to be independent, but in practice, the recommendations are taken as orders.

Sub office appointees are seated on the Sub-Committee of the Central Committee of the Supreme Worker’s Republic, or the Central Sub-Committee. The Central Sub-Committee has a fluctuating number of members depending on the organization of the overarching committee that the appointed Minister chooses to adhere to. For a more hands on approach to a specific sector of government, the First Proletariat can summon the appropriate section of the Central Sub-Committee, such as all Ministers under the umbrella of the Ministry of Interior and instruct various officials of the desired ministry. The state constitution calls this “a Guiding Assembly” but in reality, it is used simply to exercise dictatorial authority should the First Proletariat wish to govern more closely.

Supreme People's Assembly

The Supreme People’s Assembly is the legislative arm of the government of Ganzak. It is claimed that the assembly hosts free and fair elections every six years and the fifty seats in the assembly vote fairly on legislation put before them by the Central Committee. However, in practice, elections are considered sham elections as each seat has a list of party approved candidates approved by the Chairman of the Worker’s Party of Ganzak and vetted by the Central Committee. Citizens choose between two or three candidates for each seat, all from the Worker’s Party.

Though according to the constitution, the Assembly votes and approves legislation put forth by the Central Committee, it is unknown if the assembly has ever dissented against or voted down anything put forth by the committee. The body is overseen by the Committee-Chairman of the Supreme People’s Assembly, which is the committee’s primary representative. The current office holder is Darius Suza, who was appointed in 2018. In practice, this position is effectively the second most powerful in the nation, Party Chairman of the Worker’s Party of Ganzak is a close second.

Transport in Ganzak is primarily made up of railways and roads with limited air travel destinations provided by Air Ganzak. The primary method of long range and communter transit is the robust railway system of Ganzak, run entirely be the state owned People's National Railway. PNR maintains all rail lines in the country and is the only approved rail operator in Ganzak. The company runs multiple major rail lines across the country; <insert lines once city names get decided>. All of these lines run both passenger and cargo trains. The company runs one subsidiary, considered part of PNR, called Zarr Regional Railway, which operates a different track gauge than the rest of the country and runs exclusively on the Zarr Peninsula, exclusively servicing the Zarr International Trade Zone.

Culture

Akbarism

National culture within the country was irreparably shifted in the mid-20th century as Akbarism, the idea of a perpetual revolutionary system, was introduced and built upon by the guidance of successive First Proletariats. Traditions that originated from Perateian rule were forcibly uprooted and replaced with a focus on austerity, hard work, and single-minded unity amongst the populace. The founder, Masim Akbari, is regarded as the Eternal Leader of the Worker’s Republic and a cult of personality has been built around him and his descendants. Masim’s early policies to create a revolutionary society were harsh and destructive, uprooting long held cultural beliefs. All surrounding major religions were banned, and houses of worship were confiscated by the government. Initially, all religious practice was outlawed until 2018, when First Proletariat Bahar Akbari recommended the Office for the Preservation of the Revolution relax rules permitting no more than five unrelated individuals to gather in a dwelling, which has been used by some for minor religious gatherings. The teaching of all religion is still fully banned.
