Cosmic Vermillion Armor (Hurite language: 𒊹𒈬 𒋡𒀭𒉡 𒈗𒆠𒂗𒀀, lit. Divine Cloth of Imdugud; Japanese: 天空朱雀の鎧) is a combat body armor owned by Mugen, and was used during the World War 3 and briefly in the War of Dusk and Dawn. It is of the highest class of many armors used by Hurite knights, with comparable to that of the Angels' armors.
History
The armor itself has a rather vague history, but Hurite records have shown that the armor was made during the Age of Unification in New Eden, sometime around 2100 ET (1112 AD). It was known to be made from the most precious gold, believed to have descended from the heaven, by the legendary Hurite blacksmith, Zurak.
The armor has its own limited sentience and cosmic-level awareness. As such, only a few users were capable of wearing it since its creation, for a temporary time. The plate containing the armor only opens up when there's a great danger coming close to its proximity (around 300,000 km). There have been no records of its previous users in any of Hurite documents, but the latest user was known to be Naram-Ad, the commander of the Hurite army during the Invasion of the Devil in 3018 AD.
After Naram-Ad's death, the armor was stored in the deepest part of Grand Citadel of Duranna as it rejected any Hurites trying to use it. It was not until it chose Mugen as its temporary host, most likely because of the Heavenly Jades inside his body.
The name of the armor itself in Hurite language is 𒊹𒈬 𒋡𒀭𒉡 𒈗𒆠𒂗𒀀 (Šamû Šuanna Lugalbanda), literally meaning "Divine Cloth of Anzu". It was derived from the ancient Hurite mythology, the bird of Anzû, a mythical bird that can breathe fire. Surprisingly, it has extreme resemblance in name and shape with the ancient monster Anzû, depicted in Sumerian records on Earth. The only difference being Imdugud is a phoenix-like bird that born from fire in Hurite mythology.
Appearance
In its inactivated form, the armor is stored within a triangular chestplate that is attached to the body using a suction.
To activate the armor, the user places the authorization ring within close proximity with the plate, which then will transform the plate into standby mode. Then, the transformation ring is placed in the same way as the authorization ring for the plate to open its pocket dimension and automatically orders all armor plates to cover the whole body. The sequence can take approximately 3-5 seconds.
The armor itself is similar to a medieval armor in appearance, but with rather futuristic style and gold-black color combination. The helmet fully covers the user's head, with two small fins protruding at the top. There are two gold, eye-shaped part that allows the user to see outside. The circulation inside the helmet is also carefully controlled with a small slit on the back.
The body part of the armor has several gold plates that covers most vital parts and joints. The center of the armor takes the shape of a pentagon with the chest plate glowing indicating the armor is in use. It can also be used as a beam by channeling the Qi into it. Below the waist, the armor covers most part of the legs with gold plates.
Specification
The armor uses the wearer's energy to activate its celestial mechanisms. When the wearer's energy connects with the armor, it forms a strong shield around them, protecting them with a glowing aura. While powerful, the armor can be destroyed, but only by the strength on par with the highest angel. During the World War 3, the Devil was capable of damaging the armor heavily, almost destroying it.
The Cosmic Vermilion Armor can handle extremely hot and cold temperatures. It can endure freezing cold at -273.15 degrees Celsius (Absolute Zero) and 142 nonillion kelvins—the highest possible temperature. This ability lets the armor withstand powerful forces, even those comparable to a big bang, and allows for incredibly fast combat--even close to the speed of light. The armor also greatly enhances its user's combat power, with its recorded punching power close to 108.3 t, kicking power of 324.9 t, maximum jump height to around 204 m and maximum speed close to 100 m per 0.1 second.
