The Central Committee of State (Zentralkomitee des Staates, ZKS), usually known as the Central Committee, is a committee consisting of the top leadership of the Socialist Workers' Party and all ministers of state and state agency heads. Historically the Central Committee existed solely as the executive branch of the SWP, however, the 1930s saw an extensive political reform that merged the Central Committee's party duties with that of the state. Today, the Central Committee is solely responsible for governance and party affairs simultaneously.
The Central Committee is headed by the First Secretary of the Socialist Workers' Party, with the First Minister of Liothidia as deputy chair. It's comprised of all state ministers, heads of major party and state agencies and several key party officials, such as the first-secretaries of provincial and municipal branches of the SWP. Collectively, the ZKS forms the de-facto executive of Liothidia, owing to the constitutions' mandate for collective leadership.
Owing to the Central Committee's simultaneous leadership in state and party affairs, many commentators note that it effectively demolishes the lines between party and government, while also constituting one of the most powerful political bodies in [[Ajax|world.
History
Organisation and membership
The ZKS is formally divided into three constituent parts; State Governance, which includes all ministers of state (cabinet); Party Governance, all major party officials and heads of party offices; Advisory Members, who are nominally high ranking civil servants, military officers and heads of state-owned enterprises. Advisory Members are non-voting and rotate depending upon the topic of discussion.
