Encessia, officially the Kingdom of Encessia, is a country consisting of core metropolitan Encessia and a single overseas province (Nísos Ble) southwest of Sofrezia. It is bordered by Gassasinia and Qazhshava to the North, borders drawn within the Azur Mountain range. It also extends south to the Chalkós river, and west to the historical Argus Line. Located in midwestern Thrismari. It's main geography is temperate. The eastern coast heavily forested while plains span the west. Mountains tower in the north along with the borders of northern deserts. Rivers snake through its body, allowing for the unification and communication of the people that live upon the lan throughout history.
By 2000 BC modern day Encessia had been a collection of small feudal provinces operated by local warlords, yet these provinces all belonging to the same culture. The first Encessians seemed to be descendants of nomadic tribes that came from across the Marmor Sea. Dialects of their languages slowly assimilating into the basis of the Encessi language today. The arid plains surrounded by mountain ranges to the north and the deep Chalkós river to the south allowed for protection and growth. Agrarian society forming the root of society. In approximately 700 BC a warlord by the name of Salomon began his conquest of the many states. Uniting the southern region of Encessia into one kingdom known as Gitonmis or 'land of us' in old Encessi. Salomon finished his conquest around 690 BC and established the first national ancestor of Encessia. Gitonmis developed as a nation and a culture. Its people being mainly rural, farming society thanks to the appropriate land and circumstances. The city of Chrysí Póli (Golden City) ,located in the center of regional trade with foreign neighbors, grew in size and soon became the central core of Gitonmis. A hub of trade, innovation, and military power. However nearing the approach of 235 BC the kingdom suffered attacks from northern invaders and eventually fell into a state of civil chaos. In 53 AD a powerful man by the name of Argus Dionedes marched on Chrysí Póli and established a central government under his dynasty, once more unifying the nation and giving it the name of Encessia, after the people that inhabited its lands. With a powerful and advanced army and science base he marched on surrounding neighbors and soon his kingdom became an empire. Pushing past the northern Azur Mountains and over the Chalkós river. And west to a line he proclaimed as 'the edge of Encessia'- a line that would be crossed. From 60 AD to 678 AD the Empire of Encessia was the dominant power in the region. Far-reaching and powerful. It was the center of commerce and advancement for over six hundred years. It adopted the Orthodox religion nationwide. An act that unified the people and led to the construction of a deep rooted religious society. The country scattered with churches and the works of the heavily endorsed artisan class. By 692 AD the empire had been in decline after nomadic invasions, annexation and war with an enemy Arab empire from Gorabo, and a failing economy after the loss of vital waterways. By 700 AD Encessia was reduced to a small shadow state hugging the banks of the southern Chalkós River. A minor position it would remain in for years to come, fully occupied by enemy forces periodically once its power had fully diminished. An influential new Encessian state hadn't been reestablished until 1411, as the Gorabese empire slowly diminished in power an Encessian revolution restored the state to a functional standard. Once more a Basileus was named and the monarchy restored. Border expansion was not as rapid, only encompassing areas with an Encessian majority. As years went on the nation developed well, participating in the age of exploration and modernization. Retaining a position as a regional power. In 1976 the absolute monarchy was abolished after the Winter Revolt. And a Senate was put into place as a republican form of government under the Basileus, the monarch now with limited power. A constitution was also drafted, the form of government still in use today. To this day Encessia remains a moderate size encompassed with a range of cultures. It is a developed nation much like its neighbors with a high HDI and good GDP. Industrial, though the backbone of the economy still lay on agriculture in the fertile western plains. With a rich history and old culture it is still flocked by tourists worldwide to tour its temples and preserved castles that it is famous for. It also retains a network of trade through railway lines with its neighbors such as Neferheim and Gassasinia and ports along the Marmor Sea. Exporting agricultural products but also mined tungsten, copper, and lithium. Importing foreign made electronics and automobiles in return. Encessia is a member of the AWA and a coalition of Thrismarian States. Along with the Inititave for Global Peace and the Anterian Health Organization.

Current Senate Seats (2020)
Parties
Currently there are seven major parties that have elected delegates in the Encessian Senate. All from different portions of the political spectrum with some movements dating back up to a century. Since the Senate's founding election into it has been open to all federally recognized parties. The most recent election being in 2020.
The Conservative Party
The Conservative party (33 seats) is headed by Nasos Pollelo and headquartered in the administrative district of Lonue. For the past three election cycles it has been the majority party in the Senate. A stance on moderate thinking, the preservation of tradition and Orthodoxy, and a market-based and free economy makes it popular among a good portion of Encessians. Its roots go back to the monarchy dating back to 1876 as members have been comprised of supporters of the crown while not being a party at the time.
The Republican Party
The Republican Party (17 seats) is headed by Avgi Manidi and is also headquartered in the administrative district of Lonue. Considered the oldest party, it has its history as an anti-monarchy unit dating back as early as the 17th century. The term 'Republicans' used for many years to describe those in favor dissolving the monarchy and empowering an executive legislature. Their main goals are to empower the Senate as supreme law of the land, and champion democracy in a fanatic manner. They have always held a form of majority with rural populations and certain minorities.
Monarchist Party
The Monarchist Party (6 seats) is headed by its founder Pantelis Iona and is headquartered in Chrysí Póli or as they refer to it, 'the true capital'. The party is a band of true autocrats that wish to see the abolishment of most if not all democratic elements within the nation and restore the Basileus to his full power. Though they do not support Basileus Aetos after he worked with the Republicans to overthrow his father during his tryannical reign. Founded in 1977 in opposition to the Republican aspects in Encessia they call to revert back to an absolute and central monarchy centered around the crown and religion. They tend to be popular with the older generation.
Populist Party
The Populist Party (4 seats) is headed Elias Mihail and is sometimes regarded as the most extreme of the parties. It is headquarted in Pyli. Populists that believe in the fanatic empowerment of the people under an absolute government that calls for the empowerment of one singular party and person, and excluding all non-Encessian minorities in a true Encessian state. Strictly right-wing and very opposed to socialism, they believe the Encessian way of life and rule should be spread as far as possible. And for this they are usually frowned upon by all other parties save for an alliance with the Monarchists. Founded after the formation of the Senate though their roots trace back to the Imperialist movements .
Progressive Party
The Progressive Party (21 seats) is headed by Chrysanthi Athanasia and headquartered in the administrative district of Lonue. Popular with the younger generation, Progressives believe in a liberal democracy centered around equality for people of all walks of life. Their views on social welfare and taxes sometimes label them under more socialist terms. They believe that religion is not important to the unity of a people and that traditions tend to weigh nations down. They do not exactly believe in the monarchy, though have worked with Basileus Aetos in reforms in the past. It was founded in 1989 and is regarded as the fastest growing party in terms of support and capital.
The Rose Party
The Rose Party (12 seats) is headed by Kostis Stylianos and headquartered in Enidia where most of its provincial support is centered around with the rural farmers of western Encessia. Their main beliefs involving the empowerment of a socialist state that empowers the workers but also holds a sense of democracy not guided by tradition, moderation, or religion but rather the needs of the working state. Growing in popularity over the years they have seen much support than expected during their founding in 1982 during the formation of socialist ideals in the Encessian state after the freeing of information within the nation.
Unionist Party
The Unionist Party (7 seats) are the true Reds of Encessia. Led by Petar Svetomir, a socialist (or syndicalist) from a Sofrezian immgrant family. A stance on the devolution of the central powers of the nation into unions of workers under a true red state. Also finding support with some rural and urban population they were founded in 1985, first beginning as a more radical branch of the Rose Party until splitting off into their own party. Believing not in democracy or the monarchy, but an organized working state pursuing true autarky. Without the reliance on the foreign world or religion.
Diplomacy
The Kingdom of Encessia takes a cooperative stance with its engagements with other nations usually for the betterment of trade and agreements. Relations are handled by the Congress of Diplomats and overseen by the Senate and the Basileus in some cases.
