The Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation, or the AFDC (Gaullican: Conseil de Développement Asterien, CDA) is an intergovernmental regional organization comprising of nine member states, situated in Asteria Superior and Asteria Inferior.
Established with the Treaty of Pasau in 1987, the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation was designed to be a trade bloc, where barriers to trade were reduced within its member states, with the idea that it would help foster cooperation among its members. Since its inception, the AFDC has expanded in scope, as although it remains primarily an economic organisation, the increased ties between member states has led to the growth of political institutions within the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation.

Structure
Secretary-General
The Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation is headed by a Secretary-General (Gaullican: secrétaire général), currently Ornell Elliott from Imagua and the Assimas. It rotates every five years among the member states of the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation.
The Secretary-General's main responsibilities are to represent the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation as an equivalent to the head of state, as well as being the chief administrative officer of the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation. He also presides over the Executive Council, which meets twice a year, and is made up of the heads of government of the member states of the Asterian Forum for Development.
Asterian Forum
The main legislature of the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation is the Asterian Forum (Gaullican: Forum asterien). The responsibilities of the Asterian Forum include the proposal and passage of regulations on areas delegated to the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation by its member states.
As of 2020, there are 442 legislators in the Asterian Forum. They are all appointed by the legislatures of the members of the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation.

Summits
Once a year, summits involving the heads of government of the member states of the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation are held to discuss issues of mutual concern. Every five years, a summit is hosted in Gaton to discuss major issues facing the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation.
As well, extraordinary summits may be called by the Secretary-General of the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation at any time, mostly to deal with crises involving the AFDC.
Demographics
As of 2020, the Asterian Forum for Development and Cooperation is home to 350 million people spread among nine member states. Of the nine member states, five are situated in Asteria Inferior (Aucuria, Belmonte, Nuvania, Satucin, and Zaralaja), and four in Asteria Superior (Eldmark, Imagua and the Assimas, Saint-Baptiste, and Sanslumière).

Economy
As of 2020, the combined gross domestic product of all member states in the AFDC is $4.452 billion (nominal) and $8.614 billion (PPP), making it one of the largest economic blocs in the world alongside the International Forum for Developing States, Euclean Community, and COMSED. The average nominal gross domestic product per capita is $20,285.
