The Socialist Republic of Dau Sel is divided into 14 separate provinces, largely based on historic, cultural, or linguistic borders. The most populous province is Croílár with almost 5 million inhabitants. The least populous is Heimströnd with less than 200 thousand inhabitants. Each province is further divided into districts of roughly 100 thousand. The number of districts in each province is determined by the equation (pop/100000)+1 rounding down. Each district is given a representative in the nation's House of Districts.
