The Yakushi-class is a class of nuclear powered guided missile submarines (SSGN) in service with the Republic of Dayashina Navy. They are among the largest and most heavily armed submarines in the world, carrying up to 154 cruise missiles at maximum capacity. As the primary arm of strategic deterrence for Dayashina, their missiles can be rapidly relayed targets by Dayashinese Strategic Command via constant, low frequency radio communications links. The four submarines in the Yakushi-class are split between two bases, RDN Kimitsu in Nakazara, Dayashina, and CNB Tervik in Tervik, Hallia. RDNS Yakushi, Kira and Midori are headquartered in RDN Kimitsu and are the basis for Dayashinese strategic deterrence in the eastern hemisphere, while RDNS Akanagi, Tsuruoka, and Hachimantai are headquarted in CNB Tervik, forming the basis for Dayashinese strategic deterrence in the western hemisphere.
