Avallon (French: Avallon), officially the Confederation of Avallon (French: Confédération d'Avallon) is a country located Eracura in Tyran. It is bordered to the north and east by Acrea. Together with Venetia, it comprises French Eracura. Avallon is unique in Tyran in that it is a confederation, composed of the four constituent duchies of Tessin, Castellon, Cahors, and Viriat.
Since antiquity, Avallon has been settled by various groups, with both Nordic and Latin groups inhabiting the land by the 7th century BCE.
The territory Avallon was a part of Greater Acrea.
Avallon as a distinct political and administrative entity was first established in 1502, when the province of Venetia was officially divided between east (Venetia or Vennesmark) and west (Avallon). Domestic self-governance was established in 1875, though Acrea retained control over Avallon's foreign affairs until the establishment of independence. Home rule was established in Avallon in 1964, after a referendum which passed with a margin of 61% to 39%. The independence ceremony was held in the Avallonian capital of Cabourg. Today, Avallon is a well-developed minor power. It retains close ties both politically and economically to Acrea. Acrea is primarily responsible for Avallon's defence, and as a result Avallon maintains only a small army and large gendarmerie.
