Tulpenlands, officially the Kingdom of the Tulpenlands (Dutch: Koninkrijk der Tulpenlands) is a sovereign state located in West Europe whose government type is a semi-federal constitutional monarchy. Its capital city is Noordervoort and its largest city is Den Haag.
History
The history of Tulpenlands started in 2020, when an organized group of Calvinist formed uprisings against both the Government and the Monarchy with the aim of renewing the country known before as The Netherlands or Holland. The uprising finished with a successful coup against the Dutch government and the House of Orange. The Parliament recognized Catharina-Amalia as the legitimate monarch of the new state. She promised a referendum to ammend the constitution and start the transition to a new state, named Tulpenlands (land of the tulips) in honor of the national flower.
Decolonization of the Caribbean
Under Catharina-Amalia, several overseas territories became independent of the Netherlands and Tulpenlands, that were the cases of Saba, Sint Maarten and Aruba, this last one becoming a republic.
Geography
Tulpenlands is a small country located from the sea or below sea level, and protected by dikes. Most of its soil is plain.
