The PRV Admiral Krunchev (RE-89) is a Kalythian Canaan-class guided missile destroyer that served in the Kalythian Navy as the KOF Jericho (DDG-1142) from 2003 to its decommissioning on 15 November 2023. The ship was sold to the Arkavan Navy in early 2024, where it now serves in an active capacity. She is the second ship named for Admiral Boris Krunchev, who is regarded as one of the great naval visionaries of the 20th century in Arkava. The ship's keel was laid down in 2001 at Glennockderry by Jonnis Cove Shipyard. She was first launched on 15 January 2002, and commissioned in the Kalythian Navy on 15 June 2003.
The ship was officially decommissioned on 15 November 2023, and following strong pressure from the Kalythian legislature to cut naval costs in the reserve fleet elements, was sold to Arkava alongside two other ships in a deal worth around $5.1 billion NSD. The ship was delivered in moderate operating condition, and was largely retrofitted with new sensors and electronic warfare systems when it arrived at Velirinsk Naval Base.
The ship quickly became one of the most advanced in Arkava's navy, providing a multirole capability in anti-air, anti-surface, and anti-submarine warfare as well as providing capabilities for tactical land strikes and ballistic missile defense. The ship is equipped with towed array sonar and a helicopter with anti-submarine warfare capabilities. Though not confirmed, it is rumored that the ship was equipped with advanced anti-ballistic and anti-satellite missile defense systems as part of its large retrofit before being placed back into active service.

Decommissioning and sale
On 20 April 2024, the Jericho was listed for sale by the Kalythian Ministry of Foreign Commerce as pressure from the government required the Navy to reduce the size of its reserve fleets. Four days later, the Jericho was purchased by Arkava along with two other ships for a total price of $6.1 billion Kalyns, about 5.072 billion NSD. The ship was renamed the PRV Admiral Krunchev, after the pioneer Admiral of the Arkavan Navy. About a week later, a crew was mustered for travel to Kalythia to take possession of the ship, along with native advisors to train the new crew.
The Admiral Krunchev arrived at Velirinsk Naval Base for large maintenance and retrofitting with Arkavan accommodations and upgrades with native technology suites. After about six months in dry dock, the ship was officially rechristened and put into active service on 11 October, 2024 with sea trials lasting for about a month and a half.
Sea trials
Sea trials for the Admiral Krunchev began on 15 October 2024 with a full compliment and crew. The ship and its crew were pushed to their operational limits as the engines, guns, missiles systems, fire suppression systems and various other operations were tested through various drills and live-fire exercises. The ship was awarded top merits for training and readiness efficiencies during its exercises. Exercises ran continuously for around 65 days, with the ship integrating itself into the Arkavan naval strike groups and amphibious assault groups as proofs of concept for the advanced sensor arrays and radar packages it had been given.
The crew, now fully trained and experienced, entered the active roster on 22 December 2024 and the ship was permanently stationed at Velirinsk Naval Base.
