Teufurt, sometimes referred to as the City of Friendship (Hesurian: Stadt der Freundschaft) as it was originally called in 1962, is a town near Ihleburg situated in the state of Adwhin in south-eastern Mascylla. It is the capital town of the district Ihlelandkreis. The town, which was essentially erected as a planned city was the site of the construction of the nation's first large Plattenbau settlements that make up most of today's cityscape. The plan to build the city was proposed by Minister of Infrastructure and Housing of the Realm Peter Köppe, who underwhent a large-scale project to house imigrating and displaced Tudonians. Although having been founded in 1919, Teufurt as a real town only emerged in 1962 following the large-scale construction of Plattenbau complexes in the city proper. The city was finalized in the early 1980s.
The city was one of the fastest-growing cities in the 1980s and grew to become the place with the highest concentration of foreign Tudonians in any Mascyllary town.
