The Richmond tank, officially Cruiser Tank, Mk VII, Richmond, was one of the series of cruiser tanks fielded by Vionna-Frankenlisch during and after the Second Europan War. Named after the Vionna-Frankenlischian general, Lord Richmond, the Richmond was put into service by the Vionna-Frankenlischians in an attempt to combine high speed from a powerful and reliable engine (the Viceroy Lightning), and reasonable armour, along with a powerful multi-purpose gun. The intended gun, the famed 17pdr long gun, could not fit in the turret and proved too tricky to fit in alternate designs. The QL 15pdr was used instead and performed admirably.
