Fratanica, also known as the Federal Republic of Fratanica, is a country located in the North Pacific. Fratanica covers an area of 699,693 square kilometers, or 270,153 square miles, holding a population of over 74 million in 14 provinces, and a further 187,000 in overseas territories and 53,000 in 1 autonomous territory. In total, the combined land mass is around 715,333 square kilometers, or 276,192 square miles. Around 2.3 million live in Fratanica's capital city, Viras.

Geography
The country of Fratanica itself encompasses 715,333 square kilometers, or 270,153 square miles. With the overseas territories of Whitney and Gottes, as well as the autonomous territory of the Écusson Islands, the total area is 715,333 square kilometers. The land is bordered to the west and to the south, however, Fratanica possesses both northern and eastern coasts.
Due to its larger size, Fratanica has varying topographical sets and natural landscapes throughout the country. The highest point in the country is Mt. Scelesta, reaching 3,730 m above sea level.

Fratanica's climate is mostly temperate, with cooler temperatures and a plentiful amount of rainfall.

Government
The Federal Republic of Fratanica is a federal presidential constitutional republic. The structure of government is determined by the Constitution of Fratanica, ratified in 1941. Like many democracies, the federal government is divided into three branches: executive, legislative, and judicial. Federal executive power is vested in the President as both the head of state and the head of government, with the Prime Minister taking second in command within the government. The Prime Minister is in charge of supervising ministries, nominating cabinet members, and organizing cabinet meetings. Federal legislative power falls under the unicameral, 330-seat National Assembly. 282 seats of the National Assembly are directly voted in by constitutents from each of the 14 provinces (administrative divisions) and serve 4-year terms, with a 2-term limit. The other 48 seats are determined by proportional representation. The number of seats awarded for each province are determined by the population proportion of each province, determined by the National Census. The other Supreme judicial power falls under the Supreme Court of Fratanica, headed by the President of the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is the highest appellate court of the land, with their decisions binding to all lower courts through the principle of stare decisis.
Fratanica follows a system of federalism, with authority being shared between federal and provincial governments.
