The M4 Theimer, officially Medium Tank, M4, was the most numerous battle tank used by Gallia-Bruhl after its independence from the Commonwealth and some other Western Allies in the Second Europan War. It proved to be reliable and mobile. In spite of being outclassed by Imperial medium and heavy tanks late in the war, the M4 Theimer was cheaper to produce and available in greater numbers. Thousands were distributed through the Lend-Lease program to the Free Bethausian Forces and Joyonghea under supervision from the Lucis Commonwealth. The M4 was developed from the M3 Medium Tank which was outclassed but at the start of the war, Only the Quenminese Empire were using the M3. The tank was named after the Gallian engineer, Theimer who was the brainchild of the Cruiser tanks used by Gallia and the Lucis Commonwealth.

Along with the Covenanters, Crusaders and Cromwells, The Theimer tank was supplied to other Allied nations by the Lucis Commonwealth. The examples is when the Lucians passed some excess Theimer tanks to the Free Bethausians and in 1940 when the Zanarkians arrived on Joyonghea to back up the faltering Joyongheans and rearm them with Commonwealth armaments.
