General elections were held in Kartuzia on 4 October 2018 to elect all 274 members of the Dorada. 110 seats were elected using single member districts. The remaining 164 seats were elected from several multi-member constituencies.

The governing Social Democrats of Kartuzia (SDK) saw their worst defeat since 1932 and Prime Minister Jiwóna Hirsz was defeated in her own district but was elected in the Lezrzéka multi-member constituency. The Republican populist Change! (Z) party won the most seats and emerged as the largest party, the first time a party other than the Liberal Democratic Party (PLD) or the SDK had emerged as the largest party in the Dorada. In the aftermath of the election a coalition between the PLD, SDK, The Narrish and the Green Party was agreed to after 6 months of negotiations. The SDK later split with most of it's members defecting to other parties leaving the party without any representation in the Dorada for the first time in it's history.

The election saw more women than ever elected to the Dorada with 98 women elected compared to the 64 elected in 2014.
