Tropico is an island nation in the Caribbean Sea, located on the island of Hispaniola in the Greater Antilles archipelago of the Caribbean region. It occupies the midde five-eighths of the island, which it shares with Marchena and Quisqueya, making it one of only three Caribbean islands, along with Hispaniola and Saint Martin, that are shared by two sovereign states.
Culturally, Tropico is considered part of Latin America. It is a multiethnic country whose people, culture and customs derive from diverse origins, including the Taíno Ciboney peoples, the Xerdan civilization, the long period of Spanish colonialism, the introduction of enslaved Africans and British imperialism.
