Matthias, Prince of Limburg (Matthias Jon; born 1965) is an extended member of the Cordonian royal family. He is the second child and eldest son of King Dirk II and Queen Abigail, and the uncle of King Liam. He is 13th in line of succession to the Cordonian throne. He is husband of Carolina, Princess of Limburg and together have a daughter, Princess Martina of Limburg. He is an active member of the Cordonian royal family and performs duties of behalf of the monarch.
Matthias was born in 1965 in the duchy of Lythikos at the Nevrakis Estate. He is the first person of royalty born in Lythikos. He was educated in Switzerland and later joined the Cordonian Armed Forces in 1985 and would go on to marry the Princess of Limburg in 1989, both at the time serving in the military. He retired from active duty in 1993 after the 1993 attempted coup d'état. The Prince would later become a private citizen after his brother slimmed down the working royal family and was involved in the world financial system frequently traveling to both London and New York City.
In 2000 Matthias was declared as the "Sexiest Man Alive" by People magazine. He retired from the financial industry in 2022 to once again become a full-time working member of the Cordonian royal family.
