Magna Economic Union (MEU) is a economic union of nations in the Pelia, specifically those around the Magna Sea. Founded in 1612, on the 17th of Primo, it was established to provide economic benefits to it's members and cultural exchanges between the nations in the Magna region. It is the first modern regional supranational organization in Sparkalia. It operates from within the Voidian city of Ķëdnśtäl, where meetings to discuss both economic projects, further economic integration and on occasion exchanges of ideas and technology occur.

Creation

Founded by four countries (Choslow, Voidkree, Nova Solarius, & Santi Rasta) in 1612. It was formed in part due to the nations around the Magna Sea wanting to promote and exchange ideas and technology with each other in assurance to help promote unity between the vastly different cultures in the region of Magna.

Charter

Preamble

All nations adhering to the Union which will be named officially, the Magna Economic Union, which will also be referred to as "MEU", will be adherent to this treaty and to the laws and proposals passed. Member nations are defined as any nation bound by this charter.

Article 1

All MEU member nations will allow free trade with one another and will set no tariffs, taxes or tolls on goods that are to be imported from or exported to MEU Nations.

Article 2

All residents of MEU member nations will be allowed to move freely within other MEU nations without the need for a travel visa.

Article 3

All MEU member nations, in accordance with the foundational goal of cultural exchange, must select out of their country a total of 3 schools at random or by vote to engage in cultural exchange programs with each school swapping a maximum of 20 consenting students with a foreign school.

Article 4

For a nation to be submitted into MEU, there must be a vote held on the nation in question's membership to the Union, in which an unanimous agreement by all member nations is required.

Article 5

All nations are allowed to withdraw from MEU but must stay for four months before fully withdrawing.

Article 6

Any MEU member nation can propose amendments to this charter. Amendments will pass with unanimous agreement by full member nations.
