Italy and Albania, (Italian: Italia e Albania; Albanian: Italia dhe Shqipëria) officiallly the Italian and Albanian People's Republic and commonly just referred to as Italy, is a country mainly located in Western and Southern Europe, with territory in the Indian Ocean. The country is located in the middle of the Mediterrannean Sea, with extensive territory in the Balkans, and it is bordered by France, Switzerland, Germany, Croatia, Montenegro and Greece. Vatican City forms an enclave in the country's capital and largest city, Rome, while Monaco forms a semi-enclave. With an area of 402,289 km2 and a population of 75.994 million in 2023, it is among the largest countries in Europe both by population and area.
Politics
The Italian and Albanian People's Republic is a one-party state which is governed by the Marxist-Leninist Communist Party of Italy and Albania (PCIeA).
