Gaultier Babineaux (born 8 September 1941) is a Valentirian politician serving as the Leader of the Opposition and leader of the Valentirian Federation of Labour since 2010. Previously he served as Chancellor of the Federal Exchequer from 2006 to 2009 and as Minister for Labour and Employment from 1999 to 2006. He has represented the electoral division of Haussimont North in the Valentirian Parliament since X.

Babineaux was born and raised in the lower class district of Haussimont and studied political science at St. Victoria University. He began his career as a representative for various trade unions. His political career began when he was elected to the Haussimont City Council in X; he was later elected Mayor in X, a role he would hold until his election to the electoral division of Haussimont North in X.
