Urana Firma uses a multiverse system so that people can keep their lore and origins consistent while maintaining a consistent base of lore. This is mainly due to most people starting their nations on Earth, and making contradictory lore and maps. This is explained with a multiverse, in that these nations are starting in different universes with different chains of events and decisions leading to their nations' existence.
