Ponamu is the capital of and largest city in the Gladysynthian province of Pteranim and the second-largest city by population in Gladysynthia. According to the National Census of 2015, the population was 8,394,000. It is located on the north shore of Lake N'hala, and its south-eastern most suburbs connect with that of the capital of Mönusÿnthys to create one of the largest metropolitan areas on Iearth and the continent of Euronia with more than 30,000,000 people.
