The Battle of Boquerin was the first battle of the Uratic-Paritian War over the Choso Archipelago. Following the de facto outbreak of war on December 11th when 6,000 Paritian troops arrived on the Choso islands, Urat also reinforced their troops on the islands and on the 18th, Frankenlischian Lieutenant Colonel John Simms launched a preemptive attack against Fort Boquerin, a fort which had been captured and recaptured four times in the lead up to the war. The fort was besieged for twelve days until it surrendered on the 30th of December. Urat officially declared war on the 19th following Lt. Col Simms' offensive.
