The Republic of Tengaria has competed continuously at the Invictus Games since the first modern Invictus Games in Solaria, Etruria, in 1898. The Tengarian Invictus Committee was formed in 1898 under the Empire of Tengaria, and continued to function after the Great War in the newly established Republic. Lack of funding and the Tengarian Civil War greatly decreased the funding of the games, however, Tengaria managed to send at least a few athletes every year. After the establishment of the Kovachev regime in 1958, Tengaria began to achieve more success at the games; however, due to the government's priority of education and culture over athletics, Tengaria has never been a prominent powerhouse at the games. Since 1898, Tengaria has won 197 medals, including 51 gold medals, 64 silver medals, and 82 bronze medals. Tengaria is most known for its success in the decathalon, but also has preformed well in athletics, wrestling, volleyball, and tennis in the summer games, while doing well in cross-country skiing and biathalon in the winter games.
