The Helepolis class assault ship is the Imperial & Federal Navy's primary heavy assault ship. Based on the voidframe of the Onager-class Escort Carrier, the Helepolis class is designed for the rapid insertion of Imperial & Federal Common Army troops and equipment from orbit to planetside. The Helepolis class is fully equipped for planetside landings in unimproved territory, and--once its complement of troops have been deployed--operate as a forward command centre, firebase, and airbase, to support continued planetside operations.
