Nadia Elisabeth Sjöström is an Acrean documentary filmmaker and journalist. She is best known for working alongside veteran war correspondent Alain Bruun during the Zemplen War, a position she achieved while working as an intern during her studies in journalism at the University of Königsbrunn. Her subsequent work as an investigative journalist and war correspondent has earned her numerous nominations and awards, in particular for her subsequent coverage of the Midsummer War.
Early life
Sjöström was born to Felix Sjöström, an analyst at the Acrean Ministry of Defence, and Rania Sjöström (née Abiteboul), a Mansuri-born physicist in Östersund.
Career
Sjöström began attending the University of Königsbrunn in 2006, and by her own description was a dedicated and heavily involved student. An avid writer, Sjöström found journalism to be a natural outlet for her own curiosity. In 2007, Sjöström began working as an intern for Le Miroir, a major Savoy-based news and media firm. At the outbreak of the Zemplen War, prior to eventual Acrean involvement, Sjöström petitioned her supervisors to allow her to be part of the team that was sent to cover the events.
