The Ladon was a fighter aircraft produced by the Republic of Syara.
Intended to serve as a "heavy fighter", the Ladon was a twin-engine, monoplane aircraft that gradually grew to become a multi-role aircraft due to its versatility. Heavily armed with 12 machine guns and equipped with onboard detection equipment, it served well as a night-fighter but struggled more in day action, where it's relatively slow speed made it a target for faster and more maneuverable fighters. The utility of the aircraft allowed the Ladon to serve in a variety of other roles, including as a bomber and a reconnaissance aircraft, which it served decently as. As a result the Ladon gained a reputation as a "jack-of-all-trades" aircraft among the Inner Sphere, but it was never that much of a serious threat to the air forces of the Common Axis. It was retired from service in 1945 after spending several years as a training aircraft.
