A system of state decorations was established during the Trịnh dynasty, with prominent examples being the Bài and Kim Khánh. After Bảo Thịnh's ascension to power, the system was reformed with orders and additional medals designed and influenced by those in Eracura, some of which replaced some of the traditional awards. More medals would be added in the 20th century, mostly consisting of Royal and Imperial Cypher Medals and commemorative medals.
The following awards are listed by order of precedence.
