Clinton Juniper (born March 21, 1956) is a Zamastanian politician who currently serves as the Governor of Zian since 2014. Prior to this he was the Representative for Zian's 3rd congressional district from 2002-2014, succeeded by future-President Anya Bishop. A member of the Green Liberal Party, his tenure has been marked through enacting progressive policies into law, including tightening provincial oversight of fracking and oil extraction, pursuit of green energy policies, signing strict gun control legislation, and reducing the cost of health care and increasing access. Juniper became notable in 2014 as the first governor in Zamastan to legalize recreational marijuana in his province. Juniper has declined to run for President on a number of occasions, most recently declining his party's offer in 2022 in favor of supporting Alisha Fletcher, and later endorsing Leanne Dale. He has been frequently ranked as one of the most popular governors in the country, having been reelected to all of his terms by wide margins.
