Ellesean language
Ellesean is a language sometimes classed as being part of the Uralic family, but is usually classed as being a language isolate.
It is mostly spoken in Ellese, where it is the native language of 6.8 million people, but is also spoken by around 800,000 Elleseans in Russia and in other countries, as part of the Ellesean diaspora.
It is known for its use of a special type of "tone", in which the speed the sentence or word is spoken in alters its meaning greatly. For example, this base phrase (which can be a sentence):
Ush Varnen
This can mean some variation of "I am an man"-while it refers to somebody being, at some point, either a man, who that somebody is, and at what time period that person is a man, ranges depending on the speed it is spoken in.
For example, Ùsh Varnen (with the grave accent on the "u" signifies it is to be spoken in the slowest speed. This means "I am a man".
On the other hand, Üsh Varnen signifies it is to be spoken in the fastest speed, meaning "You will be a man."
