The Secens were a North Nelbec ethnos that emerged as the dominant people in northeatern Nelbecia during the Seketese dark ages. Secens spoke the Secenic language and are commonly accepted as the ancestors of modern Sekens and Fjeskans.

As a nation, the Secens established the Secenic Empire under the fabled leadership of Myna, later transforming into the Secenic Confderation before ultimately proclaimed as the Kingdom of Seketan by Moress II.
