Duke Josephus Verrucosus (Josephus Verrucosus Fabius Constantinus; b. 2 April 1928–23 July 2023) was a Latin nobleman, politician, and businessman. Verrucosus achieved early political success following the Social War, serving as Praeses Senatus, and holding the consulship on two occasions. He was the co-founder and longtime Chairman and CEO of Verrucosa Tenura, which he established with his brother Valens Verrucosus in 1954. He was Chairman and CEO from 1977 until his retirement in 2012.

Verrucosus was born in 1928 to an impoverished family when his father was serving as an enlisted member of the Latin Army, stationed in Brennia. At the age of 17, he joined the Latin Army in 1945 where he took part in the Social War and the battles of Ravenna and Ascanium. He also served in the Gelonian War of Indepenence, and was wounded in the Battle of Brennia. Verrucosus later earned a degree from the University of Utica in 1953, and was subsequently elected to the Senate in 1966. The peak of his political career came in 1968 when he was appointed Praeses Senatus, and briefly held the office until 1971. Verrucosus earned a reputation for abrasive tendencies among members of his own party and subordinates on the Collegium Primicerium, and use of coercive practices to advance senate legislation.

Verrucosus retried from politics and left the Senate in 1974, after which he assumed the role of President of Verrucosa Tenura. In 1977, he replaced his brother as Chairman and CEO, both positions he held until 1977. During his tenure as CEO, Verrucosus led the family company into a series of purchases of rival companies, and entered the media market. At his retirement in 2012, Verrucosa Tenura became the largest non-public media corporation in Latium, and among the largest in the world, with holdings in media, sports and entertainment, as well as other industries.

In 1957, Verrucosus married Latin noblewoman Damiane Vitruvia. The marriage was seen as controversial at the time due Verrucosus' lack of noble standing, but received the blessing of Jacobus Claudius, Duke of Adrianople who was a mentor to Verrucosus. He and Vitruvia had 7 children over the course of their marriage. In 1980, Verrucosus came into possession of Villa de Concordia, in Utica which has since served as the family's seat.
