The Vysokian Republic or more simply known as Vysokiais a Landlocked country in central Aeiernia and it is bordered by Soierland to the north, Kalvany and Bihrenia to the south, Krontoskia to the East and Porlia to west. The nation is dominated by the Čeverník Mountains that covers the entire west, north and east of the country. The Pastrava valley lies in the centre and south of the country which is the most populated and economically vital part of the republic and where the capital Žalostín is located at the foothills of Čeverniks. Other cities include Svarná, Mravení and Marčí.
History
Geography
Vysokia is known for its mountainous landscape with the Čeverník Mountains doninating the north west and east covering two thirds of the country. The Čeverníks can be broken down into three ranges: The Mravená range in the west, the Marčian range in the central north and the Urzechy range in the east. The Pastrava lowland lies in the central south and is home to the majority of the Vysokian population. The highest peak is Bystraváň (2,418 m). The country is covered in forests (38% of total area). The rivers of Vysokia have their sources in the mountains around it. The longest river in Vysokia is the Daráva which runs through the Svarná ranges. It along with 8 other sites is a national park renowned for its natural beauty.
Regarding land use 42% of the country is forested, 48% is made up of farmland with bush smd grass making up the rest
Climate
Vysokia has a Continental climate with warm, sunny and dry summers and cold, snow filled and overcast winters. Temperatures range from an average of 30°C-37°C in summer (in the warm lowland regions) to an average daily tempreature in winter lying around -6°C to 12°C. There are four distinct seasons in Vysokia.
