The Ministry of Defense is the defense ministry of the Empire Of Makko Oko. It is a cabinet-level agency, and its headquarters are located in the capital city of Opposh. The current Minister of Defense is Jake Wiseman, who has held the post since June 2022.

The Ministry of Defense is responsible for the defense and protection of the nation and for the control of the nation's military.

This department is responsible for monitoring threats both domestic and foreign that could affect the Ministry of Defense or the homeland and acting on them. OTI also manages the TMS threat level system.
Ministers
The head of the ministry is known as the Minister of Defense. In addition to heading the ministry itself, the Minister of Defense also holds a place in the Executive Cabinet, and is the chief diplomat and representative for His Emperor's Government. The Emperor is responsible for appointing the Minister of Defense, along with all other government positions in the cabinet. There is no limit on how long any person can hold the position, and historically Ministers of Defense have served until retirement or dismissal.
