Arinals, officially the City of Arinals, is the second most populous city in Zamastan. As of the 2018 census-estimate, it has a population of 8,092,450. Located across the bay from Tofino, Arinals was incorporated as a city in 1737 near a portage between the Tofino Bay and the Olympic Ocean watershed and grew rapidly in the mid-nineteenth century. After the 1919 Tofino Earthquake, which destroyed several square miles and left more than 100,000 homeless, the city made a concerted effort to rebuild. The construction boom accelerated population growth throughout the following decades, and by 1940 was the largest city in Zamastan. During this period, Arinals made noted contributions to urban planning and zoning standards, including new construction styles (including the Arinals School of Architecture), the development of the City Beautiful Movement, and the steel-framed skyscraper. Tofino overtook Arinals in population once again in 1960, but the two cities are so close in proximity that often they are regarded as the same metropolis.

Arinals is an international hub for finance, commerce, industry, technology, telecommunications, and transportation. Arinals International Airport is the one of the busiest airports in the world, and the region also has the largest number of Zamastanian highways and railroad freight. Arinals has one of the world's largest and most diversified and balanced economies, not being dependent on any one industry, with no single industry employing more than 14% of the workforce.

Landmarks in the city include Parrish Park, Academy Navy Pier, Laramie Street, the Art Institute of Arinals, the Zamastan Museum of Science and Industry, and Arinals Zoo. Arinals' culture includes the visual arts, literature, film, theater, comedy (especially improvisational comedy), food, and music, particularly jazz, blues, soul, hip-hop, gospel, and electronic dance music including house music. Of the area's many colleges and universities, the University of Arinals, Zamastan Southwest University, and the University of Zian are classified as "highest research" doctoral universities. Arinals has several professional sports teams, including the Bobats (ZBL), Arinals Eclipse (ZFL), and Arinals Rockets (ZSL).
