Akira Heavy Industries, natively rendered in HCL as Akira Jūkō is one of the three major Neo-Korean Iminchebol responsible for notable industries within the defense and civilian sectors, operating alongside Miyamoto Ltd and Karasu in this role. It has historically been owned by the Akira Family for the entirety of its existence, with the latest head of the company, Akira Hikari, having been adopted into such at a young age.
Akira Heavy Industries has existed in some form since the Kaesong Period, being founded by Akira Katashi in 1898. It is one of the largest employers in Neo-Korea, hiring over 300,000 individuals and having a notable market share in a number of foreign ventures. It is distinctly interlinked with the state, with Akira projects being used to project a form of soft power in numerous occasions.

Ownership
The ownership of Akira is split between the state-entity of Neo-Korea, more specifically the Central Governing Council, and the Akira Family - with the split being approximately 60-40 in favor of the former. Shares in Akira, as with all Iminchebol, cannot be traded after their allotment without the direct vote of the CGC.
