House of Belthon-Maiheza
The House of Belthon-Maiheza is the current reigning dynasty of the Kingdom of Khemetu. The head of the house is King (Pharaoh) Ramese XIX, who is also head of state. The House of Belthon-Maiheza as the senior branch of the older Maiheza dynasty has ruled the Khemetian kingdom since 711 AD with varying periods of interruptions; although the dynasty's origins date back much further to the 10th century BC when it's supposed founder Maiheza was crowned King.
Following the dynasty's first restoration in 711 AD, after the end of centuries of Latin rule, Belthon Maiheza was acclaimed king over the newly independent kingdom with the support of the native nobilty, high clergy, monastic establishment, and the general populace; within decades of the dynasty's restoration the claim of the original Maiheza being descended from the legendary King Solomon and Queen Kandake had become the country's national epic, something that remains apart of the cultural fabric of the kingdom to this day.
As a result of the dynasty's claims of descent from the bibical king Solomon, the dynasty is commonly referred to as the Solomonids or the Solomonike. The dynasty's total members is estimated to consist of 500 to 1,000 dynasts, although the dynasty's immense wealth and political power rests with only a few hundred or a couple dozen of the most senior members of the dynasty. Collectively the dynasty's wealth is estimated between theupper centi-billions and 1.2 trillion Solidus, based largely on their majority stakes/investments in the Khemetian Pharaonic Holding Company, the Khemetoil Company, the Khemetu Gaming Authority, alongside their extensive assets that include the Khemetian Pharaonic Collection (of arts, furniture, jewels, and artistic treasures), land holidngs via the Pharaonic Domain of the Three Lands, etc.
