Bösmenien is a Besmenian animated political satire sketch series, that was broadcast on VEGA from 1987 to 1990. The show is based of the comic strip of the same name by Matthias Konziolek. Bösmenien was best known for his caricatures of politicians and celebrities, commented on diffent and current events in short sketches.

The general main character of the show was then Premier Martin Beiter.

Characters

Much like in the comic strip the individual characters in Bösmenien have different characteristics, some of which are based on satirical public perceptions, for example Martin Beiter is portrayed as young, dynamic, self-confident, Robert Gleitzmann as a very conservative miserly with a secret predilection for right-wing populism and Frida Ochsenbein as a naive blonde.
