Ahmed Rahari (born 23 April 1964) is a Rajihati politician, diplomat and current Prime Minister of Rajihat. He was formerly the deputy foreign minister for Adulan Affairs from 2011 to 2016. Rahari came to power in 2016 amid popular support, elected in a public referendum to replace embattled Prime Minister Hossein Abdollah Zarif, campaigning on a promise to uphold rights and freedoms. Since becoming Prime Minister, Rahari and his political allies have suspended parliament, detained political rivals and critics including journalists, and have issued travel bans. Rahari has been labeled a dictator by many international observers. In 2023, Rahari said he would ignore most of the country's constitution and rule by decree for a period of "exceptional measures" with no set end.
Rahari has been criticized internationally for his vocal support of the Rajit Liberation Army, and has provided discreet funding and intelligence support to the group. Following the April 2024 attacks in Shanadu, Rahari stated his government had been directed to support the group and represent it on the international stage in diplomatic negotiations for political recognition in Verdusa.
