Anthony Edwin Marsden was a Gladysynthian politician who served as the second Premiere from 1949 until 1956 after being elected from his home province of Darapherma. He is most known for his foreign policy decisions, his leadership during the World War, and his reinviguration of the nation's education system.

Throughout his political career, Marsden became known mainly for his incredibly persuasive speeches and enticing promises of political reform. When it came to his premiership, he delivered mostly on these promises, with reform and crackdown on political corruption, especially in the federal government, and mounumental allocation of funding to the nation's fairly large but underdeveloped education program. Before being elected as Premiere, he served three terms in the Gladysynthian House of Representatives as the Representative from the 5th District of Darapherma. He served three consecutive terms from 1934-1948 before announcing his premiership campaign. He also served as a lawyer after attaining a law degree from the University of Darapherma in Loromano in 1916. After serving as the second Premiere, he lived a relatively quiet life until he passed away on October 24, 1987 in Loromano at the age of 89.
