Aurious is the fifth planet from the sun in the Tendor System, and is the largest planet by far; with its mass of over 214 Anteria masses, it easily dwarfs the second largest planet in the system, Tsanfau, by over 14 times. Alongside its impressive size, the planet also boasts an extensive ring system which appears golden, acting as the otherwise blue planet's namesake, from the Latin word aurum.

The planet is a gas giant, and as such is mostly comprised of hydrogen and helium, with the upper atmosphere also hosting a large amount of methane gas, which filters out red light and contribute to its dark blue-indigo coloration. Alongside that, the upper atmosphere is split into various visible bands at certain latitudes latitude thanks to its fast rotation, and regions where different bands interact often have a large amount of turbulence and storms.
