Bucking is the capital and largest city of Buckingla. According to the 2007 census, the city has a population of 2,739,551 inhabitants. As a chartered city, Bucking also serves as the capital city of the Boromia Region. It is where the South Adulan Union is headquartered and where its predecessor the Organisation of South Adula Unity (OSAU) was based, as well as various other continental and international organizations. Bucking is therefore often referred to as "the political capital of South Adula" for its historical, diplomatic and political significance for the continent, although that title is often disputed with Saint Raneau in Albarine. The city lies a few miles west of the South Adula Rift which splits Buckingla into two, between the Bubian Plate and the Semali Plate. The city is surrounded by the Special Zone of Boromia and populated by people from different regions of Buckingla. It is home to Buckingla National University.
History
Geography
Bucking lies at an elevation of 2,355 metres (7,726 ft) and is a grassland biome. The city lies at the foot of Mount Entoto and forms part of the watershed for the Bawash. From its lowest point, around Bucking International Airport, at 2,326 metres (7,631 ft) above sea level in the southern periphery, Bucking rises to over 3,000 metres (9,800 ft) in the Buckingla Mountains to the northeast.
