The Campaign of Calagains, also called the Invasion of Calagains (Lijiangese: 入侵擦拉嘎内斯, Rùqīn Cālāgānèisī; Akannite: კალაგინები სამხედრო კამპანია, ⴉⴀⴊⴀⴌⴂⴄⴊⴄⴁⴈ ⴉⴀⴋⴞⴄⴃⴐⴍ კⴀⴋⴎⴀⴌⴈⴀ; K’alaginebi Samkhedro K’amp’ania) was an planet-wide armed conflict on the Akannite planet of Calagains launched by Lijiang. The war ended in the Destruction of the L.R.A. Huajia and the subsequent evacuation of all Lijiangese Ground Troops from Calagains in 456 C.Y. The campaign was initiated in an attempt to derive resources from the Akannite Confederation's campaign on Yanshi after Lijiang's defeat on Lesath.

The Campaign officially began after the entrance of the L.R.A. Hongju Fleet within the Calagainian System, assaulting the Calagainian Planetary Defense System. Following the destruction of the Defense System, the Hongju Fleet began a blockade of Calagains, blocking all forms of teleportation onto the planet and blocking entrances from unauthorized ships from neighboring systems. Following the establishment of a planetary blockade by the L.R.A. Huajia and the L.R.A. Shenzhou, initiations of a ground level assault were made by Lijiang, while defenses on the planet were bolstered to their maximum. After over two months of communication silence from both the Huajia and Shenzhou, ground scout troops established several small bases within Kristoff as a means to supply and reinforce.

The initiation of the ground war came with the Battle of Ozuriani, Lijiang infiltration units teleported to the city's perimeter with the purpose of using Lijiang Quantam Displacement Devices within the city of Ozuriani. After deploying the devices, more Lijiang assault groups teleported from both Huajia and Shenzhou. An internal offensive was launched by the Lijiang assault groups, catching the Akannite garrison off guard. Onkelos Mithridates and his Pormireba ordered the Evacuation of Ozuriani, leading to the city being abandoned and controlled as a command point for Lijiang.

The establishment of a command point in Ozuriani allowed Lijiang ground forces to establish a Permenant Quantam Displacement Device to set a connection between forces on both Huajia and Shenzhou in order to bolster their ground forces and fortify their defenses to any attacks. Despite being outnumbered on the planet by number, the Lijiang were on the offensive. Advances were made on Akannite holdings on the border of Midgash and Lorhash

The end of the war was marked by the Calagainian Reconstruction and the issue of Lijiangese Settlements on Calagains. Issues surrounding the Akannite-Lijiangese diplomatic breakdown only further increased with the dis-establishment of independent Lijiangese Settlements on Calagains and the evolvement of Foreign Rights in the Akannite Confederation.

Background

By 2316, Lijiang had lost control of its forces and command on Lesath after the failed Campaign of Lesath. The catastrophic Siege of Agara resulted in the full retreat of ground forces due to Lijiang losing the majority of its commanders assigned to the campaign in Agara. Following the retreat, the Akannite launched the Campaign of Yanshi. The Campaign saw the Akannite moving deeper into Lijiang territory, and were able to conquer the majority of Yanshi. Supreme Councillor Xi Jianqi saw that the defeats at Yanshi were indicative that the Lijiangese would not be able to recover Yanshi even with reinforcements or an establishment of more supply lines.

On 2317, Lijiang had lost Songjiang and Runhe, the capital and one of the largest cities on Yanshi, respectively. With Akannite forces closing in on Xingcheng,
