Daunlaund is a federal republic located in the Utopian Continents. It is bordered by Havadar, New Wolvers, Erskiellander, Latuaras, Neviersia and The Utopiani Republic. Daunlaund has a poulation of 53 Million and the capital is Ronicon City.
Daunlaund started as many differeng chieftons based around the Lihoné River the chieftom who first founded the city of Ronicon was Ulípolí The Wise who became a symbol of early Daunlaund and is still a symbol of the coty of Ronicon. The chiefton of Ralta was found in the northern mountains of what is today Heliris Province and reached northerly to Herlirisílakka where the coty of Heliris was founded.
The largest chiefton Ereckia was known for its fierce warriors or Louskretta in Daunlaundic. The chiefton of Ereckia had conquered six other Daunlaundic cheiftond by 260 BC. Under the rule of Ría Thd Conqueror Thd forst unified Daunlaundic kingdom was founded. It existed until 191 AD when the Daunlaundic and Havadarian crowns unfied to form a joint empire. It is one of the longest lasting empires in Utopian history dissolving in 1010 AD. The Daunlaundic empire continued as a sovreign body until 1625 AD when Katerina The Wise possibly Daunlaund's greatest monarch died and left no heir leading to seven years of war between Daunlaundic nobles in an effort to gain the throne.
Leopold I ascended to the throne in 1632 declaring a Second Daunlaundic Empire. He and his son Leopold II went on an aggressive rampage theoughout The Utopias conquering nearly 1/3 of the world's landmass. The Second Empire was brought to an end through the Daunic-Erskillian War in which Erskiellander invaded Daunlaund. The war ended with the Siege of Heliris before The Daunlaundoc Emperor Aleksandra IIV was forced to abdicate the throne in 1819. A new Daunlaundic Republic comminly refferred to as the First Republic lasted until 1824 before a monarchist coup overthew the government in placed by the Erskillians. In 1826 The Erskillian governmemt deployed troops in Daunlaund and instated a new republic, The Second Daunlaundic Republic it only lasted until 1831 as another monarchist rebel surge spread through the country. This time the monarchy wasnog instated. The Emperor and her family were executed by the state before tgey could reclaim the throne. Now in only twenty years Daunlaund was istating a new republic, the Third Daunlaundic Republic which is still in existance to this day.
In the modern era Daunlaund has become an economic power and is one of the world's weakthiest sovreign states.
History
pre history and post modern age
Early Daunlaund began with the original cheiftons that settled in and around the Lihonè River. The first city of Daunlaund and its modern capital Ronicon was founded at this time by the great king Ulípolí The Wise who is still a symbol of the city to this day. A decade later the cheifton of Daun and its main settlement thr city of Daun was founded. The cheifton of Daun quickly grew and conquered mosf of modern day west Daunlaund where as thd ceheifton of Ronicon absorbed the cheifton of Heliris.
The largest conflict in this period was the Great Southern War. This was around 72 AD and by this time minor cheiftons such as Ralta had fallen by this time and the main three that remained were Ereckia, Daun and Ronicon. The Great Southern War lasted for two years and was fought between Ronicon and the ither two cheiftons who formed an allegiance agsinst it. At this time the Ereckians began to use soldiers called Louskretta which have become the infamous warriors and symbols of Ereckia. Daun and Ereckia defeated Ronicon. Daunlaund was united for thd first time under the crown of Herra and King Uílssa I.
The Drechè Empire
In the year 76 AD The King of newly unified Daunlaund and The King of Havadar singned a treaty at the border town of Drechè, this treaty unified the two crowns. For the next three hundred years the empire which has come to be known as The Drechè Empire due to where it was signed was extremely advanced for its time in the fact that thd Daunlaundic and Havadarian kingdoms operated as two seperate countries within the empire. The military might of The Empure saw Daunlaundic territory expand rapidly into what are now the provinces of Vask, Ventroven and Észtlúew. There was an eventual schism between the crowns of Daunlaund snd Havadar in 1000 which would lead to the empire's collapse a decade later. Daunlaund and its army fought hard to keep and ebentually secure its territory that it had gained during the Drèche Empire.
Early Imperial Age
Daunlaund started to build its influence in the region. This really came to ahead with Petrov I who pumped an incredible amount of money into the town of Ferúston and its port in the year 1490, along with this new port came a huge royal grant to build a large fleet. Wood was taken primarily from the Vask province and with this new navy Daunlaund began to spread its influence setting up ports all over North and South Utopia. There were significant conflicts in places such as Berantoba as the Daunlaundic Empire took a foothold in the far north.
There too was conflict with West Ankara over the Southern ports which today make up The Republic of Southern Merchants, Ankara was not impressed by Daunlaund's interference in the Ankaran Sea. In the new city of Doraví (The modern capital of the RSM) Ankaran ships landed at ghe port and proceeded to burn the city's buildings killing thirty people. Petrov was so angered by this that he had a fleet of reinforcement to secure the sea around Doraví. The following battles would go on for months as the Daunlaundic state sunk trememdous amounts of money into it's navy to help fight the Ankarans. Despite this Daunlaund was loosing men and ships rapidly. In an effort not to loose its grip in the Ankaran Sea completely Petrov orginised a meeting between himself and The Ankaran head of state. They agreed to share the ports as long as the Daunlaundic navy sailed no closer to Ankara.
Fúra IV and Deterioration of The Monarchy
Fúra IV reigned as the king of all Daunlaund from 1646-1661. He was placed on the throne after the death of hos father at age five. Daunlaund up until this time hsd remained very stable and a giant on the world stage. Fúra was too young to tule at this stage and so his uncle Alfúr managed the throne for him until he was sixteen. Alfúr unlike his predescessors did not care for Daunlaund's place on yhe world stage and proceeded to use the country's wealth to suit his own needs. Alfúr built over two hundred and fifty royal estates in Daun Province alone. It got to the extent where the government set up the Ministry for Royal Infrastructure. The Daunlaundic people were not impressed by Alfúrs acts of wasting money on his own pleasure. Some ministers even considered stepping in to take ghe reigns after he lost the territory of Bærn to Berantoba.
When Fúra got a hold of the throne in 1646 he faced problems from failing infrastructure in the nation's capital Ronicon to people's revolts against the monarchy. On top of that Fúra had noblemen left right and centre eyeing the throne with the intent to take it. One noblewoman did. Katerina Magléder was born in The Province of Észtlúew but was forced to move to Ronicon when she was fifteen due to Alfúr starting a war with Erskiellander which spread to Észtlúew. She despised Fúra and his lack of capability. She also had a knack for public speaking. She and her father gathered support for a rebellion against Fúra IV with the intent of putting her father on the throne.
Katerina led a crowd of 50,000 towards the Royal Palaces in the centre of Ronicon who quickly overpowered the royal guards. Her father was killed in thd storming of the palace snd do she made the decision to take the throne and become Empress of all Daunlaund. It is said that Katerina severed thd head of Fúra IV herself. It is recorded that she came out onto the steps of the palace holding a sword in one hand and his head in the other.
Rejuvenation under Katerina The Wise
Under Katerina Daunlaund was rejuvinated. She led an aggressive foreign policy which saw the expansion of the Daunlaundic Empire. Katerina established such instotutions as The Daunlaundoc National Bank her reign brought new wealth to the country. Katerina was a patron of the arts, literature, and education. The Hermitage Museum, which now occupies the whole Former Royal Palace, began as Katerina's personal collection. The empress was a great lover of art and books, and ordered the construction of the Hermitage in 1770 to house her expanding collection of paintings, sculpture, and books. As many of her democratic principles frightened her more moderate and experienced advisors, she refrained from immediately putting them into practice. After holding more than 200 sittings, the so-called Commission dissolved without getting beyond the realm of theory. Katerina is reverred as pissibly the greatest Daunlaundic monarch there was. There are numerous statues of her in Ronicon with two of the largest being outside the former Royal palace and in from of the Dauntage. On 29 October 1723, Katerina rose early in the morning and had her usual morning coffee, soon settling down to work on papers; she told her lady's maid, Mary Vogúlssen, that she had slept better than she had in a long time. Sometime after 9:00 she was found on the floor with her face purplish, her pulse weak, her breathing shallow and laboured. The court physician diagnosed a stroke and despite attempts to revive her she fell into a coma. She was given the last rites and died the following evening around 9:45. An autopsy confirmed stroke as the cause of death.

Geograpy
Daunlaund is a very mountianous nation in the North, North-West and North-East. The south is generally more flat with more lakes. To the South-East of the mainland lies Ferús which is a huge port and coastal area, the highest peak in Daunlaund Mt. Ferús is also found here. Vask and Ventroven are very rural provinces.
The Daunlaundic climate has been described as temperate. The lowest temperature recorded was -27°c which was recored in Svlvåld (Daunlaundic arctic circle island territory), the hottest was 34°c recorded in The Portana Province in South Utopia. In provinces such as the mainland provinces, the northern island provinces and Lihone province it is mild and somtimes humid in summer with very cold winters, often with snow but mostly very rainey with the highest temperatures being around 12°c. Although this does not apply to all of Daunlaund.
Demograpichs
Population
The Daunlaundic Federation has around 53 milion people living within its borders. 96% of Daunlaund is ethnically Daunlaundic. 3% is Havadarian and the other 1% is Neo Wolverian and other Utopian and European ethnicities. In Derosé province there is a small minority of Yugeans from the Yugo state New wolvers. Which makes up the 1%
Languages
Daunlaundic is the official language of Daunlaund. 99% of the population speak it and it has 120.7 million speakers worldwide. The language is spoken in not just Daunlaund put also in parts of Pace e Saggezza and Havadar. It is descended from germanic and was influenced heavily by the French and German.
Religion
Daunlaundic people are generally secular but the majority religion is Christianity then Islam. Jews also make up a small group.
Race
70% of Daunlaundics are white or of European or Utopian descent.
25% are black or of african descent.
5% of people are of Aisan descent
Government
Daunlaund is a democratic, federal parliamentary republic, where federal legislative power is vested in the Volkstage (the parliament of Daunlaund) and the Dauntage (the representative body of the Launden, Daunlaund's provinces).
The multilateral system has, since 1831, been dominated by the Democratic Peoples Union (DVU), the Social Democratic Party of Daunlaund (PSD) and the Daunlaundic Conservatives (PKD). The judiciary of Daunlaund is independent of the executive and the legislature, while it is common for leading members of the executive to be members of the legislature as well. The political system is laid out in the 1831 constitution, the Einfrúntlettren (Basic Law).
The constitution emphasizes the protection of individual liberty in an extensive catalogue of human and civil rights and divides powers both between the federal and state levels and between the legislative, executive and judicial branches.
Daunlaund was a founding member of the Utopian Union in 1967. Daunlaund is part of the Free Movement Pact. It is a member of the Universal Pact.
Legislature
Federal legislative power is divided between the Volkstage and the Dauntage. The Volkstage is directly elected by the Daunlaundic people, while the Dauntage represents the governments of the regional states (Launden). The federal legislature has powers of exclusive jurisdiction and concurrent jurisdiction with the states in areas specified in the constitution.
The Volkstage is more powerful than the Dauntage and only needs the latter's consent for proposed legislation related to revenue shared by the federal and state governments, and the imposition of responsibilities on the states. In practice, however, the agreement of the Dauntage in the legislative process is often required, since federal legislation frequently has to be executed by state or local agencies. In the event of disagreement between the Volkstage and the Dauntage, either side can appeal to the Staatsgrechtenlauwkongreiss to find a compromise.
Volkstage
The Volkstage (Peoples Diet) is elected for a four-year term and consists of 570 or more members elected by a means of mixed-member proportional representation, which Daunlaundics call "personalised proportional representation". 140 members represent single-seat constituencies and are elected by a first past the post electoral system. Parties that obtain fewer constituency seats than their national share of the vote are allotted seats from party lists to make up the difference. In contrast, parties that obtain more constituency seats than their national share of the vote are allowed to keep these so-called overhang seats. The current Dauntage has 710 members.
A party must receive either five percent of the national vote or win at least three directly elected seats to be eligible for non-constituency seats in the Volkstage. This rule, often called the "five percent hurdle", was incorporated into Daunlaund's election law to prevent political fragmentation and disproportionately influential minority parties.
The first Volkstage elections were held in the Third Republic of Daunlaund on 14 August 1831.
Judiciary
Daunlaund follows the civil law tradition. The judicial system comprises three types of courts.
Ordinary courts, dealing with criminal and most civil cases, are the most numerous by far. The Federal Court of Justice of Daunlaund (Launderkørtvesze) is the highest ordinary court and also the highest court of appeals. Specialized courts hear cases related to administrative, labour, social, fiscal and patent law. Constitutional courts focus on judicial review and constitutional interpretation. The Federal Constitutional Court (Launderkørtkonsteisze) is the highest court dealing with constitutional matters. The main difference between the Federal Constitutional Court and the Federal Court of Justice is that the Federal Constitutional Court may only be called if a constitutional matter within a case is in question (e.g. a possible violation of human rights in a criminal trial), while the Federal Court of Justice may be called in any case.
Foreign Relations and Military
Daunlaund has exellent relations with other Universal Pact as well as other nations such as Austrailia and Japan. Daunlaund's main trading parteners are Havadar and Cansilica. Daunlaund shares a trade agreement with Havadar called the HDTU (Havadarian, Daunlaundic, Trade, Union.) Havadar is widely regarded as Daunlaund's best trading partners.
Daunlaund has a neutral policy but somtimes Daunlaund can't help wether it is for the protexrion of itself or allies get into wars. Daunlaund has the largest navy in the Universal Pact, and a strong army, the airforce is relativly weak. Along with Havadar (HDTU) and the rest of its allies Daunlaund is very strong via military but prefers to be neutral when it comes to conflict.
Economy
The economy of Daunlaund is a highly developed social market economy. It has one of the largest national economies in North Utopia, the fourth-largest by nominal GDP in the world, and fifth by GDP (PPP). Daunlaund is a founding member of the Utopian Union and the Utopiazone.
In 2018, Daunlaund recorded the highest trade surplus in the world worth $310 billion, making it the biggest capital exporter globally. Daunlaund is one of the largest exporters globally with $1810.93 billion worth of goods and services exported in 2019. The service sector contributes around 70% of the total GDP, industry 29.1%, and agriculture 0.9%. Exports accounted for 41% of national output. The top 10 exports of Daunlaund are vehicles, machinery, chemical goods, electronic products, electrical equipment, pharmaceuticals, transport equipment, basic metals, food products, and rubber and plastics. The economy of Daunlaund is the largest manufacturing economy in North Utopia and it is less likely to be affected by the financial downturn and conduct applied research with practical industrial value and sees itself as a bridge between the latest university insights and industry-specific product and process improvements, and by generating a great deal of knowledge in its own laboratories as well.
Daunlaunc is rich in timber, lignite, potash and salt. Energy in Daunlaund is sourced predominantly by fossil fuels (30%), followed by wind second, then nuclear power, gas, solar, biomass (wood and biofuels) and hydro. Daunlaund is the first major industrialized nation to commit to the renewable energy transition called Energiefúnten. Daunlaund is the leading producer of wind turbines in the world.[33] Renewables produced 46% of electricity consumed in Daunlaund (as of 2020).
Culture
Daunlaund is a multicultural nation, all these cultures have culminated into the Daunlaundic culture we know today.
Sport
Daunlaund's main sport is a Daunlaundic invented one, it is called Viedershelsen. This sport involves hitting a steel ball around an oval field. Players wear steel tipoed gloves to help. To score you must break one of the plasic boards on either ends of the field. These boards are placed some highre than others. Te points available are... 5 points (lowest board) 10 poinys (middle board) and 15 points (highest board). This sport is played by the provinces of Daunlaund and entities of La Pace and Saggezza of Pace e Saggezza. It is also enoyed all over the world. Football and Rugby and Badminton and Swimming are also major sports.

Folklore is a major part of Daunlaundic culture. There are many Daunlaundic storues that have sold millions of cpoies world wide. Most notably Dahiel Vandreszes chronichels of anonymous.
Infrastructure
Daunlaund has an exellent infastructure. Roads are very well maintianed but tolls on main roads can be expected. The two main public transport services are Lihonébuszé which run public and school buses in all provinces and the privatley owned Daunslink which runs trams, trains, taxis and buses across sixteen of the seventeen provinces but us looking to expand in the future. Normal Daunlaundic towns follow the sttéik plan of 1956 in which the plans for an average town were made under this template. The template includes two sections to a town with one main road running through it. 40% of Daunlaundic towns use this template.
