Count Dochlov Zimmermann is a Frankenlischian politician currently serving as Prime Minister of Vionna-Frankenlisch and official Leader of the Conservative Party. Since 2002 he has been the Member of Parliament for Gestoria, his hometown and the base of his electoral power.

He grew up in Gestoria and studied at St Edric's College in Oxbridge. In 2002 he was elected to the House of Commons as the MP for Gestoria and held multiple roles within the shadow cabinets of Ewart Harris and Edward Stanton. He became Leader of the Conservative Party in December 2006 and, in 2013, the first election since the death of King Edward III, the Conservative Party won the election with a minority government. Zimmermann formed a coalition government with Arthur Astron's Imperial Party which had suffered a major defeat. He has been Prime Minister of Vionna-Frankenlisch since the 22nd of September 2013.

Early Life

Birth and Family

Dochlov Zimmermann was born in the city of Gestoria in the Kingdom of Frankenlisch on the 11th of August, 1968. His father was Erik Zimmermann, a Hardskari soldier who had fought for pro-government forces during the Imperial Civil War; he had left Hardskar following the conflict and fled to Frankenlisch to avoid arrest by his Socialist neighbours. Dochlov's mother was Anna Wilton, a secretary from Frankenlisch whom Erik had met upon arriving in the capital. They had married in 1967 and had four children, of which Dochlov is the eldest.

Following their move to Gestoria, Anna Zimmermann took up a job as a typist and Erik became a design consultant for the Gestoria Central Arms Plant, his war experience proving very useful in this position.

He has two sisters and a brother. His brother, Ragnar, was born in 1970 and served as an officer in the Imperial Army, seeing action in Prodava and New Columbia, he now works as a government policy advisor for the Ministry of Defence. His sisters are Edith (born 1974) and Matilda (born 1977).

He was born in Gestoria City Hospital and lived at his parents' home on Juliet Street, Gestoria until he was eighteen.

Education

Zimmermann received a state education from the age of six, attending Richmond Street Primary until he was eleven and then attending Gestoria Park Secondary School. a comprehensive academy with a reputation for producing intelligent, yet delinquent, students. He left Gestoria Park at sixteen, passing his GCSEs with merits across the board and went on to attend Richmond College, an expensive private Sixth-Form College, where he boarded during his A-Levels. Despite multiple indisciplines and petty crimes, he was kept on due to his high grades and passed his exams with straight As, having taken Government and Politics, Economics and Colonial Studies. His education left him with a negative view of left-wing politics and little appreciation for old-fashioned Imperialism, preferring the more modern policy of Benevolent Colonialism.

Early Adulthood and University

From Richmond College, Zimmermann went straight into work. After his eighteenth birthday, he moved to Brumley where he became a correspondent for the Royal Financial Telegraph within the city. He spent a year in this role, living in a shared apartment, before moving back to Gestoria where he lived with Elsie Buckner, whom he had attended college with. The two shared a home on Temaraire Road and began a relationship. Buckner worked as a secretary while Zimmermann did freelance work as a journalist and book critic and also served as an officer in the local militia.

The pair remained living on Temaraire Road until they raised the money to attend university together. With remarkable grades between them, they secured places at the prestigious St Edric's College at the University of Oxbridge. Elsie studied Literature while Dochlov majored in Politics, with Economics as a secondary subject. The University turned down the pair's request to cohabit so they decided to marry, legally obliging the University to offer them shared accommodation. They accepted.
