Dorothea I of Mascylla (Dorothea Sophia Theresa, Dorothy I of Mascylla in Fallish; born 10 October 1982) is the current Queen of the Crowned Republic of Mascylla. She ascended the throne following the abdication of her father, Lukas III, in 2005. Dorothea is the sixth-longest reigning and second female Mascyllary monarch.

Dorothea was born in Hohenehr Palace in Königsreh as the oldest child of King Lukas III and Princess Henriette of Taubach-Goldach and Birchau, immediately becoming the heir presumptive to the Mascyllary throne as Crown Princess of Ahnern. She undertook private primary and secondary education in Königsreh, studied history abroad at the University of Aniarro, and briefly served in the Mascyllary Army. In the mid-1990s, she was assigned the speech therapist and later long-term friend Paul-Dietrich Wörner to treat and suppress her stuttering in her adolescence. During that time she, then Crown Princess, married Wolfgang, Count of Auserburg and Clemens in 2005, with whom she has three children: Frederick, Crown Prince of Ahnern (born 2006), Princess Julia (born 2007), and Princess Victoria-Theresa (born 2012). In 2005, she ended her service and career in the military and succeeded the Mascyllary throne upon her father's abdication due to health-related issues in 2005, subsequently being crowned as queen regnant in 2006; at the age of 23, she was the single youngest Mascyllary monarch to ever be elected by the Convention of the Realm and ascend the throne.

Her reign has been shaped by multiple significant events of national and international notice, including the end of the MAOA Haller Base program in 2009, her state visit to Cuthland in 2011, the accession of X to the Telmerian Union in 2012, and the deaths of her younger brothers Ludwig, Hereditary Duke of Morleck and Karl Egon, Count of Taubach-Goldach in the Mascyllary annus horribilis of 2015. Despite having faced noteworthy sentiment by Mascyllary republicanists, Dorothea continues to enjoy personal popularity and has consistently secured favorable public opinion on the Mascyllary monarchy, which was at an all-time low in the 1990s under her late father's reign.

Arms

Queen Dorothea currently possesses the coat of arms of Mascylla as its sovereign, having inherited it in the wake of her father's death. Prior to the ascension, her personal arms were comprised of a heraldic lozenge adorned with the coat of arms and a bordure gules, quartered with the bear sable of the Duchy of Fania and the lion azure of the Grand Duchy of Aldia. The royal standard, a personal flag of the differenced version of the coat of arms defaced with her royal cypher, is also used in her capacity as sovereign.
