The General Secretary of Sovaland (GSS) is the head of state and government of the People's Republic of Sovaland. The general secretary directs the executive branch of the federal government and is the commander-in-chief of the Sovish Armed Forces. Since 1951, the General Secretary has been the leader of Sovaland.

The current general secretary is Lionel Spencer who was appointed by the Congress of Sovaland after his predecessor James Chamberlain was ousted from office after he was caught in a scandal. In all, there have been 6 General Secretaries over the course of 71 years not including Lionel Spencer, making him the 7th general secretary to take office. As of 16 January 2023, the position is being substituted by Chairman Montegomery Young after a failed assassination attempt on Spencer.[1]
