Gwisai previously served as the Minister of Labour under the second Mushohwe government between 2019 and 2020. Following [[Muzukuru Chiyangwa]]'s resignation due to allegations of corruption, Gwisai was retroactively appointed by PNG candidate [[Sylvain Sikali]] to become Premier prior to the election. When Sikali won, Gwisai took office and formed his government on May 18, 2020.

Under the presidency of Sylvain Sikali, who was elected in May 2020, Premier Tumai Gwisai formed his cabinet on May 18, 2020, consisting of himself and thirteen other ministers.

Formation

Gwisai previously served as the Minister of Labour under the second Mushohwe government between 2019 and 2020. Following Muzukuru Chiyangwa's resignation due to allegations of corruption, Gwisai was retroactively appointed by PNG candidate Sylvain Sikali to become Premier prior to the election. When Sikali won, Gwisai took office and formed his government on May 18, 2020.
