Khem is a major city in western Trellin. It is the capital and most populous city in the province of Azmir and the eighth most populous city in Trellin with a population of 3,655,145 and a metropolitan population of over five million. It was until 1988 the capital of an independent Margraviate of Azmir.
History
Education
Azmir's capital is a major university town, with the University of Khem being a major research centre. The city's numerous higher education institutions have a total of nearly two hundred thousand students.
