Liberimery (Veleazan: Liberimery), officially the Free States of Liberimery (Veleazan: Los Estados Libres de Liberimery) is an insular country in the East and Central Columbian Sea in Vestrim. The country shares territorial water borders with Gyldenport to the northeast, Isolaprugna to the north, Seda Dorada to the northwest, and the Leidense islands of Koningsland to the west. Liberimery is a federal republic and hosts 17 independent states and one Federal District grouped on 14 islands, cays and archipelagos as well as several smaller cays, atolls, and islets that that administratively administered by nearby state governments or the federal regions. By land mass it is the largest nation in the Columbian Sea.

Liberimery was first settled by the Irikia, Coabana, and Taino people in the neolithic period. The Asuran expedition that is credited discovery of Vestrim made several landfalls in what is now modern Liberimery and the island of Liberimery itself was discovered in the second discovery expaditions, though it is disputed if these were the first Asuran in the modern world. The nation declared its independence from Newrey in the aftermath of the Newreyan Revolt of 1782 and gained formal independence after the decisive victory of the Battle of the Black Wave. Etymology

Liberimery's name is of disputed origins, but is believed to be a Newrey corruption of the Midraisian words Liberi meaning Free and meri meaning Mercy. Other origins hold that it is a merger of Liberi and a corruption of the Newrey suffix -rey which possibly means land or island. The origin is likely traced to the native Island's Irikiro, Tanio and Coabana peoples and the form of a balanced government with many separations of roles and checks and balances.
